Top of the Waves is a 9 unit, beachfront condominium. Our first floor 1 bedroom unit is ground level and faces the ocean. When you step outside the condo you are in a sandy area surrounded by a privacy fence and a huge common deck area complete with lounge chairs, picnic tables, and 2 gas grills. The only thing separating you from the ocean are the dunes. Walk past the deck and you are just a few steps to the beach. The beach at 55th Street is lifeguard protected during the summer season. You are located right across the street from Mallon’s Bakery where you can pick up fresh bagels, sticky buns, and hot coffee after your morning walk on the beach. For lunch you can grab a really great sandwich right off the beach across the street at Sack of Subs. In the evening, you and the family are a short block away from A La Mode Ice Cream Parlor. Boyers market is 2 short blocks away for any grocery shopping or convenience item needs. For fresh take-out or eat-in seafood, walk over to Mike’s Seafood. For those of you headed to the boardwalk, you can catch the trolley which stops outside our condo every half hour after 5 PM during summer months. Enjoy one of the many first and second floor decks. Some of the best sunsets can be seen from the second floor deck overlooking the bay side. The southern end of Ocean City also offers the bay for kayaking and nature trails, among other activities. This area is truly its own quiet community within the larger community of Ocean City. America’s Greatest Family Resort’s boardwalk won The Travel Channel’s heart with its family-oriented attractions. Ocean City’s ‘go-karts, movies, water park, mini golf and kiddie rides’ are all mentioned in the article, in addition to some ‘big traditions, like Thursday family nights with free concerts and dancing. The Travel Channel also named Ocean City as the Garden State’s most popular beach.
